![]() As a biker, I’m getting a bit sore after three hours of continuous riding so it’s likely I’d take a break anyway to enjoy a coffee and a pie, then swap video cards if I’m not already done for the day. As yet, I haven’t pushed the camera to its limits so I’m not certain whether the battery will go the distance. This means you could record roughly 40 videos (200 minutes) on a 32GB card three hours or more before the camera overwrites the first video. In my experience so far, a five-minute video in HD mode runs about 720MB. The ActionCam is capable of capturing HD video (1280×720 pixels). All videos, regardless of mode, are saved in AVI format. In vehicle mode, the camera will continue to save new files until the memory card is full, then overwrites them from the beginning until the battery dies. Much easier for your average punter to handle on their personal machine (FYI, I use a MacBook Pro running OSX Mavericks with 4GB of RAM). It also captures hours of continuous video, but instead of one enormous file, it saves a new file every five minutes. Vehicle mode is similar to continuous video with one major advantage. Realise though, that a movie file 32GB in size would be nearly impossible to manipulate without an industry level state of the art graphics workstation. ![]() ![]() Press the capture button to begin filming and the camera will film continuously until the memory card is full, or the battery goes flat, whichever comes first. ![]()
